PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray irradiation device capable of promptly curing ultraviolet ray-curable ink adhering to a record medium without giving thermal damage to the record medium. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet ray irradiation device 90 irradiating the ultraviolet ray-curable ink adhering to the record medium P with an ultraviolet ray includes a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements 95, 96 and 97 each emitting the ultraviolet ray and an element support means 91 supporting these semiconductor light emitting elements 95, 96 and 97. The element support means 91 supports a plurality of the respective semiconductor light emitting elements 95, 96 and 97 in such a positional relation that optical axes b1, b2 and b3 of the respective elements are tilted with respect to each other so that irradiation areas of the ultraviolet rays emitted from a plurality of the semiconductor light emitting elements 95, 96 and 97 overlap each other on the record medium P.
