PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aramid fiber for fishing nets having excellent weatherability and hydrolysis resistance, sinkable at a high speed and free from strength lowering trouble even by using for a long time as a fishing net. SOLUTION: An aramid polymer is incorporated with respective specific amounts of specific metal and/or metal oxide and a coloring agent. Specifically, the aramid fiber for fishing nets includes the aramid polymer, and contains 3-50 wt.%, based on the amount of aramid polymer, of fine particles of the metal and/or the metal oxide having a specific gravity of≥3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and an average particle diameter of≥1μm and≤10μm, and 3-10 wt.% of the coloring agent based on the amount of aramid polymer.
