PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary-irradiation-type particle beam therapy system which allows a beam take-out window to be moved close to an irradiated object and has a rotation gantry for safely performing beam irradiation. SOLUTION: The particle beam therapy system includes: an irradiation device having a beam scanner for scanning a charged particle beam and a first duct with the beam take-out window arranged on the downstream side of the beam scanner, and irradiating an irradiated object with the charged particle beam by passing the beam inside the first duct; a beam transporting device having a second duct and transporting the charged particle beam emitted from an accelerator to the irradiation device by passing the beam inside the second duct; the rotation gantry mounting a part of the beam transporting device and the irradiation device; and duct extending/contracting means for the first duct, which moves the beam take-out window in the axial direction of the charged particle beam. When the irradiated object is irradiated with the charged particle beam, the duct extending/contracting means is extended.
