The invention relates to rotor blade (3) of a rotor of a wind turbine (1), said rotor rotating about a horizontal shaft (2) and the profile of said rotor comprising a section having a plurality of essentially identical profiled sections (4). The aim of the invention is to devise a rotor blade which has a simple design and allows the effective utilization of wind power at low costs. For this purpose, the profiled sections are arranged lying uniformly juxtaposed to each other along a rotor blade axis (20) and have respective sloping lateral edges (10, 11) which essentially have the shape of a hollow cylinder section or of a cylindrical wedge of a hollow cylinder or an ellipsis, the respective internal surface areas (6) being essentially oriented and arranged to face the wind direction in the working position of the rotor blade (3).
