<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment management system for recognizing the installation place of equipment without separately performing any complicated operation such as the mounting of a wireless tag. <P>SOLUTION: A management server 10 writes an IP address input to an IC card 40, and designates an MAC address corresponding to the IP address, and starts transmission of power supply input instructions. When a person in charge passes through a gate 30a to an installation place, a gate device 30 reads the IP address and the ID of the person in charge from the IC card 40, and transmits them together with the gate ID to the management server 10, and the management server 10 temporarily stores them. A hub 50 transmits the IP address of management object equipment 20 and its own hub ID to the management server 10.
