PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively set a stroke quantity of a shift and select shaft at each shift stage. SOLUTION: This manual transmission has the shift and select shaft 1, a shift inner lever 4 fixed to the shift and select shaft 1, and a plurality of shift heads 11-13 arranged along a rotational passage of an arm 4b so that the arm 4b of the shift inner lever is selectively arranged so as to be engaged and movement in the axial direction of the shift and select shaft 1 interlocks with the performance of shift operation to each of an advance stage or a retreat stage. A projection 20a is fixed in a case 2 so as to abut on an eccentric position of one end 1b of the shift and select shaft 1 in shift operation. A plurality of recessed parts 1bb, 1bc and 1bd different in recess depths are formed in respective abutting parts of the projections 20a different according to the shift heads 11-13 selected by the shift inner lever 4.
