PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen pump which is normal temperature/normal pressure-operable, does not cause a problem such as leakage of electrolyte and exhibits high oxygen-transporting ability at a relatively low cost. SOLUTION: The oxygen pump has such a configuration that a porous and gas-exchangeable positive electrode 2 and a porous and gas-exchangeable negative electrode 3 are arranged on both surfaces of a porous separator 1 immersing the electrolyte, and electrode catalysts are carried on the electrode surfaces of the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 3; thereby respective electrode reactions on the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 3 are promoted, and the oxygen pump having high oxygen-transporting ability at a relatively low cost can be provided.
