PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the dropping frequency per minute while a satisfactory drop impact is applied to an object in a machine such as a rice cake making machine adapted to apply a drop impact to the object to be denatured. SOLUTION: The machine includes a mechanism for not only causing a free drop but also increasing a drop speed forcibly in the middle of dropping in a drop process of a member for applying a drop impact to the object (such as a mallet), whereby not only the drop frequency per minute is increased, but also the speed of the dropping member (such as the mallet) in hitting against the object is increased more than that in the case of simple free drop.
