The method involves assigning priority information to individual target accelerations (a VLim, a CrCtl, a Fahrer, a Drz Min/Max). The individual target accelerations are transformed into target acceleration (a Soll) of a motor vehicle depending on the information. A target wheel torque (M Soll) is determined depending on the target acceleration and an actual acceleration (a Ist). Requirements of torque of drive and delay units (M VKM Soll, M EM1 Soll, M EM2 Soll, M Bremse Soll) are provided depending on the wheel torque.
