PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum unit which prevents an increase in hardness of a cleaning roller with lapse of time, and to provide an image forming apparatus mounted with the same. SOLUTION: The drum unit (17) includes rotating members (18 and 21) used to form a toner image, and cleaning rollers (54 and 22) grinding and rubbing surfaces (70) of the rotating members. The cleaning roller includes a shaft (56) rotatably supported in the unit, and a plurality of fiber-like brush pieces (58) erected on a peripheral wall (57) of the shaft in such a manner that respective base portions (60) dispersedly fill up the peripheral wall.
