PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hose which enables a water sealing material for an expansion gap to be manufactured by simple operations, for example, even if the expansion gap is narrow, and a method for manufacturing the water sealing material for the expansion gap, excellent in water sealing performance. SOLUTION: The stretchable hose 10 has a mesh area 10N for making a foamed material 30 selectively spill out only upward. When the foamed material 30 is injected into the hose 10 which is arranged in the expansion gap A, the hose 10 is extended, and a gap 10G formed in the mesh area 10N is expanded. Thus, the foamed material 30 filled into the hose 10 is expanded above the hose 10 via the gap 10G, and hardened. The water sealing material 36 is formed of the hardened foamed material 30.
