PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive constitution for making feeling of forward and backward movement speed change lever operations identical to each other even when a handle is switched. SOLUTION: A walking type control machine is provided with: the handle 38 to be transferable and free to be fixed forward and backward around a vertical shaft core; an HST 16 for steplessly changing a speed of a driving force of an engine 14 and transmitting the force to an axle 4; a gear shift lever 39 for a forward and backward operation of a machine body 1 by a forward and backward operation, provided at the handle 38; and a trunnion arm 41 for interlocking a trunnion shaft 40 of the HST 16. A link mechanism S interlocked with an operation of the gear shift lever 39 and rotary actuated against energization means is provided, and the trunnion arm 41 is selectively engaged with the link mechanism S into a first engagement condition for normally rotating the trunnion shaft 40 by a rotary action against the energization means and a second engagement condition for reversely rotating the trunnion shaft 40. A switch mechanism T is configured to switch the first engagement condition and the second engagement condition by a forward and backward switch operation of the handle 38.
