The case (1) has shell shaped compartments (2, 3) for holding cigarettes (10). Straps (11, 12) are hinged at edges of the compartments. Groove shaped-receiving elements (8) and a rod (9) are provided in the compartments, where the cigarettes are held in the receiving elements. Pointed projection units (14) are attached to the straps, aligned with a middle longitudinal axis of the receiving elements, and pierce a paper of the cigarettes. The receiving elements are formed of a plastic-mold part (7).
