PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve small ice pieces production efficiency in an ice crusher producing small ice pieces by crushing an ice block. SOLUTION: In this ice crusher 1, a second driven shaft 13 as a rotating shaft and an ice crushing blade 20 disposed on the second driven shaft 13 and having a blade part 22 having a blade edge 22a directed in the rotating direction of the second driven shaft 13, are horizontally disposed in an ice crushing chamber 8. A slit 31 communicating the ice crushing chamber 8 and a container 5 is formed on an extension line of a guide face 9 disposed on a peripheral wall defining the ice crushing chamber 8. When the second driven shaft 13 is rotated, the ice block is brought into contact with the blade edge 22a of the ice crushing blade 20, thereby ice block pieces are produced, and the ice block pieces are crushed into small ice pieces according to a slit width by the ice crushing blade 20 passing through the slit 31. The ice crushing blade 20 has an arm part 21 mounted on the second driven shaft 13 and extending in the radial direction of the second driven shaft 13, and the blade part 22 is disposed integrally with the arm part 21.
