PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document processor having an excellent image, never increasing the load of a step motor, and having a function of image calibration. SOLUTION: This automatic document processor 100 includes a controller, a paper input stacker 1, a paper separation module 3, a paper input module 6, and a velocity sensor 4. The paper separation module 3 includes a retard component, and a paper separation roller 32 located on one side of the retard component. The paper separation roller 32 is installed on the downstream side of the paper input stacker 1. For the paper input module 6, a paper input main-driving wheel 61 is installed. The linear speed of the paper input main-driving wheel 61 is identical to that of the paper separation roller 32. The paper input module 6 is installed on the downstream side of the paper separation module 3. The velocity sensor 4 is installed on the upstream side of the paper separation module 3. The velocity sensor 4 can sense whether a document moves or not and transmits a control signal to the controller, and the controller controls the rotation and stop of the paper separation roller 32.
