PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement system adjusting method enabling the center position of a light spot and the center position of a magnetic particle aggregate collected by a magnetic field generating section to approximately align with each other. SOLUTION: The measurement system adjusting method, which traps a reaction complex produced by making an emission marker bound with an antibody and a magnetic particle bound with an antibody react with a substance to be analyzed, in an inspection vessel 400 by using a magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating section 300, irradiates the trapping area with light, and detects emission from the reaction complex by using a light detecting section 500. The methods includes: the magnetic particle trapping step of trapping the magnetic particle in the inspection vessel 400 by using the magnetic field; the emission signal acquiring step of measuring an emission signal originating from the magnetic particle by conducting the light irradiation; and the position adjusting step of adjusting an arrangement of the magnetic field generating section by utilizing the emission signal.
