PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recording of a high quality by correcting the deflection of a recording material without damaging a recording region. SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes a recording head 9 which records by ejecting an ink onto the recording surface of the recording material while moving, a transporting device 30 which transports the recording material on a transporting path that passes through a recording execution region 7 by the recording head, a platen 13 which supports the surface of the opposite side to the recording surface of the recording material located in the recording execution region, and pressing members 25 in contact with both outer edges 29 in a width direction on the recording surface of the recording material located in the recording execution region. The pressing members 25 move to press the recording material on an upstream side and the downstream side of the recording head, following the movement of the recording head.
