PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can reduce the memory volume of display patterns even when many of the display patterns for the combination of symbols occur. SOLUTION: When a varying pattern for the jackpot performance or the loss ready-for-win performance is designated, an administrative CPU reads out a display pattern which allows the generation of the number of ready-for-win lines exceeding that specified on the basis of the varying pattern. Then, the administrative CPU alters the type of at least one of the first to eighth decoration symbols making up the combination of ready-for-win symbols to that different from the symbols making up the combination of ready-for-win symbols in the display pattern read out so that the number of ready-for-win lines may be made equal to that specified on the basis of the varying pattern.
