The invention relates to devices for accepting bets made as stock-exchange operations or transactions are in progress with the aid of real time stock-exchange quotations. The solution can be used for conducting financial transactions carried out by means of controllable sequences of auction events, in particular for placing bets using quotations from the stock exchange, currency exchange, commodity exchange or universal exchange. The aim of the proposed invention is to extend the functional options. The invention is implemented as follows. A client introduces a non-cash payment means (a magnetic card, bank card or smart card) into a reading device and also enters a pin code (by keyboard selection). The client then places bets. The client uses a keyboard to enter the chosen size of the bet. Information relating to the result of a check made by an account balance monitoring unit (13) enters a control and computing unit (1). In the event of a negative result, the control and computing unit (1) terminates the bet placing process and displays, on an information display means (2), appropriate information for the client regarding the client's possible subsequent actions. In the event of a positive result, the control and computing unit (1) permits activation of a means for setting the bet placement time (11). Information relating to the bet placement time input by the client passes from the means for setting the bet placement time (11) to the control and computing unit (1). A unit for determining the result of the bet (12) carries out a comparative assessment of the change in value of the exchange commodity. The information is then transmitted to a clearing-account unit (5) in order for a profit to be transferred to the client's account or for a loss to be written off from said account. |
