<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device which can reduce the number of times of replacement of an ink supply member by efficiently using the ink of the ink supply member while securing a printing quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading device includes a printing means 11 which prints to a manuscript by driving a plurality of dot output parts, a reading means 8 which reads an image of the manuscript printed by the printing means 11, a detecting means 106 which detects a printing defect of the printing means 11 on the basis of image data read by the reading means 8, and a control means 106 which increases the number of times of driving of the dot output part corresponding to a position where the printing defect is detected among the plurality of dot output parts when the printing defect is detected by the detecting means 106. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
