<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein steering by large amount and quick steering are likely to be unexpectedly performed because a ground contact load of rear wheels as steering wheels is reduced and steering reaction force is reduced if load for loading is large, the larger load for loading is and the higher a position of article to be loaded is, the larger moment load during revolving and running becomes, and running of a forklift becomes unstable in a steering device for vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In this steering device for vehicle, target steering reaction force T<SB>H</SB>* increasing in accordance with increase of load W for loading and increase of height H of a loading part is decided from a map, and a reaction force actuator is controlled.
