<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for determining a recommended value associated with the dosage of an active ingredient based on a series of measurement of at least one physiological parameter of patient. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the step of executing a series of measurement of at least one physiological parameter, specially a blood value, for example, blood sugar, in which samples S are sampled from a patient at discrete measurement times n and measurement is conducted to these samples. A recommended value DS associated with the dosage of active ingredient to be administered to a patient by the next measurement time is determined from the measurement, and in order to determine the value, dosage proposal algorithm incorporating at least one measured physiological parameter is applied. This enables adjusting at least one physiological parameter in a target range, or maintaining in the target range.
