METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STRETCHED FILM OF POLYTETRAMETHYL-P-SILPHENYLENE SILOXANE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stretched film of polytetramethyl-p-silphenylene siloxane excellent in mechanical strengths and visible light transparency.

SOLUTION: A film or powder of polytetramethyl-p-silphenylene siloxane with a number average molecular weight of 5,000-5,000,000 is subjected to stretching treatment at 120-160°C by a roll stretching method to manufacture the stretched film of polytetramethyl-p-silphenylene siloxane with an elasticity of 1.2 GPa or above, a breaking strength of 15 MPa or above and a visible light transmittance of 50% or above.
