PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately read ahead data even in an environment in which a cache buffer capacity is small. SOLUTION: A data transferring device includes: a reception means which receives operation; a transferring means which transfers data from a first storage medium to a second storage medium which is different from the first storage medium; a determination means which determines data transferred by the transferring means on the basis of the operation; an acquisition means which acquires data accumulation information stored in the first storage medium on the basis of the data determined by the determination means; and an alteration means which alters the capacity of the second storage medium on the basis of the data accumulation information.
