<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a field apparatus capable of setting parameters without using any setting tool that is externally connected, and capable of making data equivalent with parameter information stored in a high-order apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A field apparatus communicates with a host PC via a field bus in accordance with a first address that specifies the field apparatus itself, and in the field apparatus, a packaged application program is operated.
