<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of varying a stacking height at insertion coupling of boards themselves by varying a thickness of a base, by forming the base constituting the connector with a ceramic member and intercalating the connector so as to be formed into a required thickness in powder molding. <P>SOLUTION: The connector comprises: a base having a resin-plated part formed by applying resin plating to an end part from the surface over to a rear face through an edge; a housing equipped with a contact storage room having contacts inserted from a side face to be engaged; and contacts each formed of a metallic member consisting of a tip-end site bent in a lateral V-shape as a first contact part and a site further bent inward from the tip end as a second contact part. The contacts are inserted into and built in the housing, the base is attached to the housing from a bottom direction, and each second contact part is in a state of facing the resin-plated part of the base, while each first contact part is in a state of being protruded upward.
