PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder device which suppresses abnormal noise generated when fully extended. SOLUTION: The cylinder device 1 is configured to hold one end of a rebound spring 21 (a member for suppressing full extension) comprising a tension spring by a holder 23 provided on the bottom part of a cylinder 2 as well as to hold the other end by a holder 22 provided on a piston rod 8. Therefore, the generation of the abnormal noise, which is a problem in a conventional cylinder device, can be prevented, the noise being caused by outward or inward sideslip of a wire rod due to the coherence of the rebound spring (a compression spring) when fully extended, and contact of the sideslipped wire rod with the cylinder 2 or piston rod 8.
