PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion device that performs color conversion to obtain a conversion image wherein glossiness produced by the increased number of used color materials is suppressed, and to provide a color conversion program. SOLUTION: A limit value-setting section 16 sets a limit value of a color total amount in accordance with a color gamut. An optimal virtual surface color signal group-preparing section 21 sets an optimal total amount limit value for each of black amount based on the set limit value, and prepares a plurality of lower profile surface color signals satisfying the optimal total amount limit value for each of the calculated black amount. A black amount calculation model-preparing section 22 calculates an independent color signal in a corresponding device-independent color space from the lower profile surface color signal, and prepares a model for calculating an optimal black amount based on the independent color signal and the black amount of the lower profile surface to which the independent color signal belongs. An optimal black amount determining section 23 uses the prepared model to calculate an optimal black amount based on a conversion target-independent color signal of the device-independent color space.
