PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular control device capable of folding the image of a preceding vehicle in a searching range in the vertical direction of a radar. SOLUTION: The vehicular control device for controlling the posture of a vehicle 100 comprises a radar 19 for searching an object present in front of the vehicle in a predetermined searching range, a navigation system 7 for detecting the position and the direction of the vehicle 100 and has the map data storing gradient information of a road surface, a suspension system 7 interposed between each wheel 3 of the vehicle 100, and an ECU 8 which detects the relative position of the preceding vehicle traveling in front of the vehicle 100 and the vehicle 100 based on the radar 19 and the navigation system 17, and variably controls the suspension 7 so as to change the pitch angle of the vehicle so that the preceding vehicle is folded in the searching range in the vertical direction of the radar.
