<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure safety when external force for changing the relative positions to a device is applied during transmitting or receiving information to or from the device using laser beams. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic cassette 12 is placed on a facing surface 96 so that a facing surface 60 is brought into contact with the facing surface 96 in order to perform communication by laser beams between the portable electronic cassette 12 and an image reader 84. The relative positions between the electronic cassette 12 and the image reader 84 are aligned with a communication position, an exit hole 62 of the laser beams in the electronic cassette 12 faces a light reception hole 100 of the image reader 84, and an exit hole 98 of the laser beams in the image reader 84 faces a light reception hole 64 of the electronic cassette 12. A tip of a holding member 156 enters a groove 162 provided in a casing 20 of the electronic cassette 12, and a protrusion (not shown) also enters a groove 152, thereby preventing the relative positions between the electronic cassette 12 and the image reader 84 from being changed during communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
