<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which automatically inspects correctness of a status page for outputting the setup state of the apparatus to save manpower. <P>SOLUTION: The correctness of the status page is automatically inspected by using a following method: a sequence for forming various status pages made different in conditions is formed, bit map data of the correct status page based on the sequence is generated, and the status page based on the sequence is actually formed in the apparatus, and then the bit map data is collated with the bit map data of the correct status page, and, if an error is found, it is recorded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
