<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organism measuring instrument for enhancing a flexibility when measuring a biological featured value by being made in contact with a contact section by a user. <P>SOLUTION: A weight scale for measuring a body weight and a body fat percentage is connected to a controller 2 for operating an organism measuring instrument via a connection cable 3. A grip 20 having a handle electrode for measuring the body fat percentage and an acceleration sensor 25 for measuring an exercise amount, is attachable to/detachable from a case body 24 constituting the machine body of the controller 2. The user operates a knob 61 before performing the measurement, and then, voluntarily separates the grip 20 from the case body 24. Since the user grips not the whole controller 2 but the single body of the grip 20, the movement, exercise, or the like of the user are not blocked by the machine body of the controller 2, the connection cable 3, and the weight scale.
