摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high hardness blade with high reproducibility and high mass-productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A laser light source 11 has a time interval shorter than a time interval of approximately 5ps(5×10<SP>-12</SP>s), and oscillates a pulsed laser beam of an ultrashort pulse, so-called a nonthermal laser beam, whose surface density of unit pulse output is smaller than 1 J/cm<SP>2</SP>. A condensing optical system 12 is provided so as to condense the pulsed laser beam on a cutting-edge surface 22. A recess on the cutting-edge surface 22 is irradiated with the pulsed laser beam as an irradiation part 221 of the pulsed laser beam, thereby removing the recess as an object 30 to be removed and flattening the cutting-edge surface 22. An injection port 13 is provided so as to inject fluid on the cutting-edge surface 22. The fluid passes through along the cutting-edge surface 22 on the irradiation part 221. Even if heat is generated by the irradiation of the pulsed laser beam, therefore, cooling is quickly executed by the fluid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
