PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve smooth getting-on and -off by simply controlling an arrival guide of the car of an elevator when a getting-on passenger and a getting-off passenger are at the same story, and inhibit the get-on passenger from failing to get on to the car. SOLUTION: In a case where there are the passenger a to get off from the car 1 to a landing and the passenger b to get on to the car from the landing at the same story (A), no arrival guide or the like is made even when the car arrives at the story (B). A landing door 5 is opened and the passenger a gets off from the car (C). When getting-off of all getting-off passengers at the story is detected, a lamp of a landing guide device 8 is blinked (D). By thus delaying timing of the arrival guide in comparison with the past, timing of passenger b's having intention to get on to the car is delayed. As a result, smooth getting-on and -off can be achieved and, since the arrival guide delayed in timing acts as getting-on guide, the passenger b can be inhibited from failing to get on to the car.
