PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new chemical substance that has a useful effect on human bodies among chemical substances found in the bodies of natural animals, plants, microorganisms or the like, and a medicine containing it. SOLUTION: The new chemical substances, erythrophlesin A (represented by the formula in the drawing), B, C and D are isolated by extraction from a bean family plant, Erythrophleum succirubrum with an organic solvent.
