<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte capable of increasing a strength (load) until short circuit occurs without reducing battery characteristics, to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte, and to provide a method of manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte 23 is disposed in contact with at least one of a positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode, and includes a nonaqueous solvent, an electrolyte salt, a matrix resin, and ceramics powder. The concentration of the ceramics powder at a contact surface 23a of the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode is higher than that of the ceramics powder at an electrode surface section 21a of the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode which are in contact with on the contact surface 23a.
