<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly authenticate a password irrespective of difference in key arrangement in a keyboard. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment includes: an acquisition means for acquiring data on a password input through a keyboard; a selection means for selecting one of key layouts of keyboards; a conversion means for converting the data on the password input from the keyboard; into a password character string, according to the kind of the key arrangement; and an authentication means for determining a success in authentication of the password, when information based on the password character string converted by the converting means for any key arrangement matches information based on a registered password character string. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
