PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a larger projection amount of a locking projection portion is secured, without being restricted by the thickness of a wall and, as a result, the locking projection portion is formed, enhanced with high flexibility. SOLUTION: A terminal fitting 10 is inserted into a connector housing 60 from behind and has a tubular connecting portion 11, to which a mating terminal 90 is connectable from front. A rear position rather than a front end of a peripheral wall of the connecting portion 11 is formed with a bent piece 27 that has both front and rear edges 28, 29. The bent piece 27 is formed with a locking projection 32, which is retained and locked in the connector housing 60 by being formed to be bent toward the outside over the entire length in forward and backward directions.
