PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that maximizes the temperature of a heating roller in a nip section under printing, efficiently supplies heat to paper, and improves the fixability. SOLUTION: A control section 201 controls a driving section 8 so that the emission direction L of a heating section 10 is changed according to operation mode under printing.
