PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent soap composition which is capable of curtailing and work-saving the drying process that has imposed a burden on the manufacturing of a transparent soap, and which is little in the skin irritation and is excellent in foaming properties and low swellability. SOLUTION: This transparent soap composition includes a volatile content of 28-32% at 105°C while solidified on chilling and comprises 100 pts.wt. of a fatty acid and 35-48 pts.wt. of a polyhydric alcohol, with the fatty acid containing 10-15 pts.wt. of lauric acid.
