PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the display of the results of inferences on diagnosed case names. SOLUTION: Case data for medical diagnosis object cases are obtained (S220). The probability of the correct answer is calculated for each of a predetermined number of diagnosis object case names, and the diagnosis object case names are inferred (S230) by means of an inference means on the basis of the obtained case data. The number of diagnosis object case names to be displayed is decided (S240) after the case names are obtained by the inference means on the basis of the obtained case data. The diagnosis case names based on inferences are displayed (S250) on the basis of the inference results for diagnosis case names obtained in S230 and the number of their display obtained in S240.
