PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating device for land transportation for carrying out stable operation in various environmental conditions by using a high performance heat pump type. SOLUTION: In the refrigerating device 1 for land transportation, an external heat exchanger 11 functioning as a condenser or an evaporator is equipped on a front wall 15 upper part of a van 7. It includes a duct 29 provided so as to cover one part of a front wall 15 in the front wall 15 of the van 7 and guiding engine exhaust air having passed through an engine 9 to a suction side of the external heat exchanger 11, and a damper 35 opening and closing a ventilation passage 31 in the duct 29.
