[Class 53] A primary cell comprises a paper or like container 10 having at its lower end a peripheral ridge 12 or inward projections to support the zinc electrode 13 and centre the dolly 15 ; the electrode 13 is of sheet form and has a tag 14 which passes through, and is bent over on the underside of the bottom of the container to form the lower contact of the cell. When two or more cells are superposed, a zinc disc is provided on the bottom of the lowermost cell to constitute the contact engaged by the spiral spring in a torch holder (Figs. 6, 7, not shown). |
