PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a range finder which is satisfactorily used during a golf tournament. SOLUTION: The range finder 11 includes a sighting telescopic optical system comprising an emission lens 22 and a color filter 25. A user verifies a target through the color filter 25. A housing part 37 houses a plurality of color filters 25 which are attached to and detached from an eyepiece 26 and which have different characteristics. Since the color filter 25 has such characteristics as to reduce glare with respect to each weather and to improve contrast, the user attaches a color filter 25 suitable for the external environment to the eyepiece 26. By providing the range finder 11 with the detachable color filters 25 having different characteristics in this way, it is possible to improve convenience of the range finder 11.
