The invention relates to a noise reducing track covering comprising cover elements (6, 7) arranged on the track. The cover elements (6, 7) have a sheet-like base (8) with a layer (10) on the upper side (9) thereof for the rooting of plants (11). The cover elements (6, 7) are provided with support lugs (15) on the edges thereof facing the rails, which engage in lateral recesses in the rails with intermediate elastomer profiles (16). The cover element (6) placed between rails are mounted exclusively by means of said support lugs (15) on the rail (2, 2') and bridge the space (17) between the rails in a self-supporting manner. Cover elements (7) connected to the outside of the rail are supported on one side with the supporting lugs (15) thereof on the rails and on the other side on foundations (18) and bridge the space between the rails and the foundations in a self-supporting manner. |
