<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid storage container which is made of a biodegradable material and is a container for food field products and has excellent water proof and provide a manufacturing method for the container. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid storage container 10 includes a container body 20 made of a paper and a water proof coating layer 30 which is made of a material containing a corn protein as the main material and covers the inner surface 21 of the container body. In the manufacturing method, a film like material or a liquid coating material 30A containing the corn protein as the main material adhering or coated on one surface 21A of a container base material 20A made of the paper which is formed as the container body after assembling to form the water proof coating layer and the container base material, on which the water proof coating layer is formed, is assembled placing the water proof coating layer inside.
