<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification method of surface treatment performed on a polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The method identifies presence or absence or type of surface treatment performed on polarizing plates 13a-13c, targeting polarizing plates 10a-10c each having a laminate film. At least either angles, which are made by transmission axes 13A-13C of the polarizing plates 13a-13c and optical axes 11A-11C of the laminate films 11a-11c, or phase difference which the laminate films 11a-11c have is made to be different between the polarizing plates 10a-10c each having the laminate film, wherein the presence or absence or type of surface treatment on the polarizing plates is different. Then, the polarizing plates 10a-10c each having the laminate film are each arranged between a light source 30 for test and a polarizing plate 20 for test. Light is emitted from the light source 30 for test, and coloring of the polarizing plate 20 for test is checked, so that the presence or absence or type of surface treatment is identified from the coloring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
