PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge-aligning device for covering lid which is capable of easily and perfectly cleaning a cup by eliminating any projection such as a guide bar from a line for filling a food product in a cup. SOLUTION: In the intermittent traveling line of a food cup having a portion for filling a food product in a cup, including seasoning agent or the like, a lid covering portion, and a sealing portion, an edge-aligning device for covering lid in the line for filling a food product in a cup is provided with an edge-aligning guide hole plate and a temporarily fixing mechanism at a lid covering position of the line, the lid descending from above is passed through the guide hole plate and covers and is aligned with the edge of the cup, and further temporarily fixed to the cup and sent to the sealing portion.
