PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire making hydroplaning resisting performance at turning and traveling on a wed road surface and hydroplaning resisting performance at traveling straight ahead on the wed road surface compatible at a high level. SOLUTION: On a tread surface 1, a plurality of circumferential grooves extending in a tread circumferential direction, and a plurality of lateral grooves extending in a tread width direction are arranged. An unsymmetrical pattern is formed about a tire equatorial plane. In an installing posture to a vehicle, the total groove area of the circumferential grooves positioned in the inner side of the vehicle than the tire equatorial plane is made larger than the total groove area of the circumferential grooves position on the outer side of the vehicle. The total groove area of the lateral grooves 7out on the installation outer side than the tire equatorial plane is made larger than the total groove area of the lateral groove 7in on the installation inner side. The total groove area of the grooves on the installation outer side is provided within a range of 70-90% to the total groove area of the groove on the installation inner side.
