PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector assembly which facilitates mutual connection of circuit boards which are in an orthogonal relations. SOLUTION: A removable card connector assembly is configured to be inserted into and engaged with an electrical system. The card connector assembly includes a circuit board that has a surface extending along a board plane in a longitudinal direction. The card connector assembly also includes an electrical connector assembly that is coupled to the circuit board. The electrical connector assembly includes a flexible circuit, and a moveable contact array that is coupled to the flexible circuit. The moveable contact array is configured, to engage with a system contact array in the electrical system. The coupling mechanism is configured to move the moveable contact array between the retracted position, where the movable contact array separates from the system contact array and the engaged position, where the movable contact array and the system contact array are engaged.
